Recently I have set high goals for myself.
I have always been quite driven, full of ideas and motivation, but while failures are part of the journey,
especially for people that love taking risks, that constantly move out of their comfort zone the last year was mainly about preparing myself.
About getting very healthy, writing my goals down, paying things off, cleaning the closets out, applying for my visa and getting ready for a big move, this year is about get going, getting started, no longer waiting, it feels like the time has come and my work is starting to take off.
Many of my friends asked me how I do it all, moving to different countries, having my own business, keeping my blogs going, keeping fit, eating well and working, while still enjoying time with my man. I am not an old wise lady that knows it all.
I just take one step at a time. When you think about accomplishing big goals, it’s easy to get overwhelmed.
And while it’s important to plan things well and to prioritize tasks beforehand, the most important thing is to just take one step at a time.
Baby steps will get you far, they got me all the way to Australia, and I am still going, still learning still improving.
Take some shoes you can walk in for your journey as well. No matter if they are high heels or flat shoes, you don’t get anywhere if your feet hurt ;) Beside my everyday Clarks I found another pair of super comfy and stylish little shoes by House Of Harlow (in the picture above).
Keep walking and you will get there! Let’s go!

Happy New Year!
2012 is going to be a great one.
Some major changes are lying ahead of me:
We are planning to move to Sydney, Australia by the end of the year.

My little new year resolutions include being colorful.
In general I am trying to be more graceful and grateful.
I will do my best to inspire and support my friends and family.
I hope to make people laugh even more than the year before.
Also I won’t be too hard on myself anymore and accept that my best will always be enough.

And we will no longer throw clothes around in our room, which was David’s brilliant idea.

What are you up to this year?

Here are my personal helpers to stay alive during winter.
These are definitely my top choices.

Herbal Teas:

I love
Yogi Teas but recently discovered another amazing brand Pukka.
Their mixtures are award winning.

Hot Baths:

Aromatherapy Associates make the most wonderful bath oils.
They work MIRACLES. My favorite is Deep Relax.

A Tan:

Though I am blonde I am not a pale type. My skin loves the sun and even needs it.
It gets irritated and dry in winter. In summer I get a deep golden tan easily.
If my skin goes paler and paler in winter I just feel like I start to look ill.
A pale skin might be fashionable but is not for me.
I will use the best fake tan before take-off to Australia so my legs are ready for summer clothes as soon as I step out of the plane. Xen Tan fake tan is the best ever.
It smells like marzipan which makes it even better for winter.

A good and inspiring book:

I am currently reading The Element by Sir Ken Robinson.
Must read for everyone that is frustrated in their career, for teachers (to be), and parents (to be).

And now: Happy Holidays everyone!

It’s this time of year ladies.
Summer is over and leaves a little melancholic feeling inside.
With the change of seasons, people forget how to smile.
I feel I need to awaken my inner warrior.
I will fight for more smiles, for a new job, for my holiday, I will fight for more sunshine,
I will fight for my designs and my dreams, I will stand up for myself.
If necessary I will do it naked, with a sword. Looks kinda good.

What are you fighting for? Does the change of season affect you?
