Someone is turning 7 this month, so these days I am reflecting a lot on what #modernmotherhood actually means (to me). I’ll soon share a tiny written piece about my personal feelings, but for now I really do want to hear about your thoughts. Are they, just like mine, a bit chaotic, euphoric as well as rational, highly ambivalent, unfinished and always full of feelings? Are they both, a love letter and a goodbye kiss? Are you confused sometimes? What do you adore about being a parent and what is the truly hardest part about it? The biggest challenge? The most annoying, most wonderful side effect? What are you thankful for? What did you learn, what did you forget? What do you miss? And badly need? ️ instagram_post – 12.09.2021 –

Something about last week and beautiful words I can relate to by the fabulous @sophiahembeck: „Sometimes the world sneaks into my backpack and weights me down. When I was younger I would lie on my bed and feel the weight and slowly, slowly a thought would emerge, an idea. Something that would catapult me back up again, towards the sky. I would use that feeling of purposelessness, my need for meaning, it would be necessary to take me to a better place. Sometimes when I was uninspired, I would miss it, like an old friend that hasn’t called for a long time and wonder where it had gone.“ Go buy her book! #thingsihavenoticed instagram_post – 09.09.2021 –
