JW: How does an idea come to reality?

O: It’s all „blablablabla“ – talking!
A: It is not like „oh we have to find a theme“. Also for this collection: we weren’t thinking about what we could do, it popped up at one moment and then it evolved.
O: When we decided to work together, we were not doing it because „I like this and you also like this let’s do it together.“ It is more „I see it like this and you see it like that but let’s try to combine it“. Then it is interesting – Just mixing ideas.

JW: You use that much tradional handcraft techniques – do you think that the modern techniques kill the traditional ones?

A: No it’s combined.

O: That’s what we try to do in our garments. We try to position ourselves on the edge of ready to wear to haute couture. There are both sides in it: you have this very detailed handicraft and on the other hand a few things coud be produced as well.

JW: But why didn’t you choose the catwalk, but this kind of presentation?

AT: Evoke emotions. It is about a story and not presenting a nice dress.

JW: Have you ever been at the point where you where thinking about if it was a wrong decision to study fashion design?

AT: Yes, of course. We are not people like „oh, we are in fashion and fashion and uhuhuhu“…  I am exaggerating. It is cool, we love it.

Thank you, Annelie & Odély!
